    Tiger Woods is near the top of the leaderboard after his opening round of the Masters, as he finished with a 2-under 70 which had him one back of the leaders.

    He was actually tied for the lead at 3-under thru 16 before a bad tee shot on 17 led to a bogey.

    Tiger's round could have been a lot better, too, as he missed a few short birdie putts on the front nine.

    But with all that said, he's right where he wants to be after the first day and he looked pretty darn comfortable throughout the round.

    Oh, and about that opening-round 70. Check out this little stat:

    Does this mean he's going to win? Yes, of course it does. OK, maybe not because there's still tons and tons of golf left, but the greatest golfer to ever to do it is off to the exact start he was looking for.

    It's a start that should have everyone else in the field a little concerned.

    And a start that should have golf fans pumped for the rest of this wonderful event.
